About Me

- Name: Emma Cunningham
- Location: Providence, Rhode Island, United States
I'm about to move to Providence, RI where I'll be studying under the guidance of Polly Jacobson at Brown University. I'm interested in semantics, philosophy of language, the many interfaces in linguistics, theories of discourse, polarity, computation and logic, programming languages, and pine nuts. I think I'm a fun person to talk to usually, and I'm learning how to really love language. I consider a few people my heroes: Gottlob Frege for being passionate and creative and innovative; Barry Schein and Elena Guerzoni for being my first introductions to the wonderful world of semantics and really being fantastic people who inspire me to keep learning; Chris Barker and Polly Jacobson for their ideas and spirit; Eben Moglen for being a revolutionary and a damn powerful speaker.
